Neil Truglio
is a professional theatre and film artist based in Denver, Colorado. He currently serves as the Artistic Director of Benchmark Theatre in Lakewood. His work has been seen across stages in Denver, including the Bellco Theatre, Benchmark Theatre, Buntport Theatre, University of Colorado Denver, Community College of Denver, and RedLine Art Center, to name a few, and his film works have played at festivals across the globe including Tribeca Film Festival, Dallas Film Festival, Rotterdam Film Festival, American Film Festival in Poland and many more.
Neil is also an avid educator of the arts and has led arts education as a teacher in the Cherry Creek School District, Colorado Film School, CU Denver, and the Community College of Aurora, as well as with SeriesFest, and Denver Film.
Neil is an signature instructor, specializing in filmmaking, Shakespeare, Commedia dell'arte, Stanislavski, stage combat, tech theatre and more. He has worked with and trained actors and directors at high schools all over the region including Eaglecrest, Overland, Arapahoe, Hinkley, George Washington, North, DCIS Montbello, Bell Middle, Grant Beacon, Kepner Beacon, Boulder Prep and more. Additionally he has created the film education initiatives at Denver Film, and SeriesFest, and is the creative visionary behind the Mobile Cinema Lab, Emerging Filmmakers Workshop and Modest Arts.
