Look Back in Anger was presented in April of 2011.
"Look Back in Anger has always been one of my favorite pieces of the dramatic literary canon. I had the opportunity to play Cliff as a young adult and then had my second opportunity with the text as a director with a strong ensemble cast of young actors. The play was my first pass at naturalism. It was vital to me that the attic apartment of the Porters functioned like an apartment, with working kitchen, iron and all the attributes of a small English flat. The production was presented in the full round, with an apartment space made up of a 16' x 20' bow, with spans of cheesecloth that draped the set on all sides to create walls. The cheesecloth walls functioned in a way that when lit were pure white hiding the actors and set from audience, but when darkened, were completely see-through to let the audience literally peer through the walls and into the characters lives. The desire was to create true voyeurism into the abusive relationships that unfold in the play. The actors were trapped like bugs under glass, living their whole lives before the audience, unable to leave unless written exits by Osborne. The presentation was both a trial and testament into the nature of abusive relationships for both the characters and audience."
